How to navigate the store

To view the products that can be purchased online please click on Product Catalogue and then click on the appropriate faculty or support service. Underneath the faculty or support service name you will see listed the store names that you can click on to find out information on the appropriate store and which products and services are available to purchase.

If you already know what you want to buy, the easiest way to find it is to type its name in the search box underneath the heading Product Catalogue.

To get more information about a product, click More Info to see its product information page.

All products and services are offered subject to availability, and certain goods will have stock limits and purchasing limits. We accept no liability for the unavailability of our products or services.

Shopping Basket

The Shopping Basket is where you store items you intend to buy. When you find what you wish to purchase click the Add to Basket button on the item's product information page.

Some of the products have a questionnaire that is required to be completed before you can proceed to ‘checkout'. The questionnaire is displayed automatically, an example of a questionnaire is a conference delegate registration.

To shop for more items click the ‘Continue Shopping' button.

To remove an item from your shopping basket tick the item you wish to remove and click the ‘Remove' button

When you've added everything you want to the Shopping Basket, click the ‘checkout' button.

Prices of Products and Services from the On-Line Shop

All prices are valid as at the time of ordering, and we cannot accept claims for refunds where prices for like items are available at a lower price at a later date or time.

All prices are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing rate unless otherwise stated.
Prices are for the product or service only and any delivery charges will be identified and added separately

Registering to use the online store facility

All customers must register with the Online Shop in order to make a purchase. Select ‘This is my first visit' and enter your e-mail address.

Click the ‘Next' button. The e-mail address you provide here will be the only e-mail address we can use to communicate with you about your order, so please double-check it.

If you have already registered once with Online Shop select ‘I am already registered' and type in your e-mail address and password.

You must keep this password confidential, and must not disclose it, or share it with anyone. The University holds a secure password file to enable you to request this, should it be forgotten on future transactions. If you have forgotten your password click on the link ‘Forgot Password' on the left hand side of the screen. An e-mail will be sent containing your password

You retain the responsibility at all times to ensure that your personal details contained within your customer details are correct and current, especially in relation to changes of address and contact numbers.

Once registered with us, you can log in and out of our service at any time, but we accept no responsibility for any inability to connect due to your own technical problems, any period where essential maintenance is being carried out, or any problems arising on the Internet generally, from external sources.

Enter a delivery address and a billing address

Once logged on you need to tell us where you'd like us to send your order.

Check the information you've provided. When you're ready, click the ‘Proceed to Payment' button.


Some of the services available from the Online Shop may not involve delivery, and some of the Goods could be sold on the basis that they are collected from University locations.


Where delivery applies to your purchase, your confirmation e-mail identifies to our relevant faculty or support service that goods are to be sent to the delivery address identified in your order, and this will be arranged during the course of the normal working week.

Method of payment
You can pay by any Mastercard, Visa credit card, Switch, Solo or Delta debit card. Your card details will be encrypted and only the last four digits will appear on your order confirmation. Your card details are not held once the transaction is completed, and on subsequent visits, you will need to input card details again.

Payment in full must be made at the time of placing the order, and any subsequent cancellation of your order will be refunded to the card used in the transaction.

Enter your credit or debit card details make sure you enter the number without spaces or dashes.

Acceptance of order

All orders are confirmed both on screen and by e-mail, and any subsequent problem with regard to delivery will be notified by e-mail also. You should therefore ensure that your e-mail address is current and active within your registered details.

Security

When you use the web site, you will see the Thawte Trusted Site Seal, which confirms to you that you are using a site with the highest level of authentication and verification on each and every visit.

Authentic sites use Thawte SSL web server certification to offer secure communications by encrypting all data to and from the site.

By clicking on the thawte Trusted Site Seal, you will get real-time confirmation of the validity of the certificate and be able to view the site SSL Certificate, confirming the site's validity.
