DescriptionA CPD course for people working in or carrying out research in a wide variety of sectors. It will provide attendees with the knowledge and skills needed to design a research project and begin using qualitative research methods. Taught by a team of experts in qualitative methods, this introductory 2-day course will take you through the stages of a qualitative research project. Topics include:
The course will be interactive, with taught content alternating with exercises to help you gain the practical skills needed at different stages of a qualitative research project. There will also be opportunities to ask questions about project ideas you might have relevant to your interests and organisations. Coffee, tea and lunch will be provided, allowing networking opportunities with academics doing qualitative work as well as other attendees who are interested in doing qualitative research in their organisations. For attendees with a research project in mind, for an additional fee, we will also provide one-to-one support tailored to their particular project. Please see further detail in the programme.

3. Standard Delegate ticket fees cover: b) All conference materials provided by speakers or the organisers at the event c) Refreshments of tea, coffee, water, biscuits, and pastries d) Lunch on both 2 days of the event
4. Fees do not cover: a) Accommodation b) Meals, except where separately identified c) Travel d) Any other assistance or materials
5. ARU reserves the right to: a) Amend any or all aspects of the published programme b) Prohibit entry to, or expel from, the event anyone who is disruptive or otherwise considered to pose a risk to the proper order of the conference c) Cancel the event, subject to government guidance on COVID-19 or if the minimum attendance level is not reached 3 weeks prior to the event taking place. Should the minimum attendance level not be reached, the University will contact anyone who has purchased a ticket. In the event of cancellation, ARU will refund the cost of the ticket; however, ARU cannot be held responsible for any other costs incurred by attendees.
6. Unless explicitly withheld, attendance will imply that a delegate gives permission: a) To be photographed within the area occupied by the event and that such photographs may be used in future publicity for the CPD Course in Qualitative Research Methods or other reasonable use by ARU. b) For their email address to enable ARU to send information relevant to this event (this permission can be withdrawn by the delegate on receipt of any email). 7. For the additional booking of the consultancy at a fee of £186 incusive of VAT the following applies: a) The additional three 1-hour online or face-to-face meetings after the course to advise on data collection, analysis and presentation must be used within 9-months of the course end date. b) These additional consultations must be booked via email to the cours lead. c) The fee's do not cover, Accommodation, Meals, Travel or Any other assistance or materials |
