Many of these short courses take place in a nearby woodland; candidates should be prepared to drive to different locations. These intensive practical courses require a good level of physical fitness and an ability to study written technical data. Candidates will be reading and interpreting information such as safety instructions in preparation for NPTC independent assessment. We are governed by Health and Safety Executive (HSE) regulations, it is a requirement that participants bring their own chainsaw boots and gloves when attending any chainsaw training or assessment. Domestic ChainsawDescriptionDuring this four hour course you will gain an understanding of the correct procedures and safe working practices for using a chainsaw and manual log splitting at home.
Felling and Processing Trees up to 380mmDescriptionGet the knowledge, understanding and skills required to fell small trees up to 380mm safely, to industry standards, in line with current legislation. This Level 2 Certificate of Competence is NPTC City & Guilds approved.
