Gain an in-depth understanding of garden design processes and procedures, from interpreting briefs to presenting design proposals. Study one morning per week over ten weeks, in Writtle.

Course Description

Having completed this intermediate course you'll be able to:

• appraise and interpret the client and project brief
• prepare site survey and site analysis (SWOT) of a project site
• compile a mood board/concept board for proposed design ideas
• prepare site functional analysis and functional diagrams based on the briefs
• develop complex design principles into an interim sketch design
• develop outline hard and soft landscape materials
• develop a final sketch design layout
• present final design proposals in 2D and 3D formats.
