The School of Psychology and Sport Science are hosting the European Workshop on Imagery and Cognition (EWIC) event on 20-22 June 2023, at our ARU Cambridge Campus.
EWIC (European Workshop on Imagery and Cognition) is a biennial workshop that is dedicated to the study of mental imagery and spatial cognition. It also explores other topics including perception, attention, working memory, autobiographical memory, creative thinking and problem-solving, mental imagery and clinical psychology.
Delegates at this event will meet peers from around the world with the opportunity to exchange views and present their work in an inspiring atmosphere. Tickets include access to the conference, with lunch, teas and coffees provided on all three days, access to the opening evening wine and canapes on the 20th June, as well as attendance at our punting and riverside barbecue event on the 21st.
Reduced Rates for Research Students
We are offering a small number of tickets at a reduced rate for current research students at £375 (standard ticket cost is £500). To apply for this reduced ticket rate please email CambridgeEWIC2023 with a letter from your supervisor confirming your Student status. These tickets will be allocated on a first-come, first-serve basis.

This is a beginner’s course aimed at students, professionals working in the heritage, archaeology, and forensic sectors, as well as anyone with an interest in studying human remains.
A range of lecture and hands-on experience with various samples of teeth identification.
No previous experience necessary!
Morning and Afternoon refreshments will be provided.
Areas covered will include:
- The use of teeth in identification for archaeology and forensic contexts
- Tooth identification – adult verses non-adult teeth, ageing using teeth development for non-adults and tooth wear for adults
- An introduction to dental disease

Recommended for - If you are training for a longer-term goal (e.g. half marathon, marathon, triathlon) where monitoring each 3-4 months can be beneficial in tailoring your programme.
The British Association of Sport and Exercise Sciences (BASES) is the professional body for sport and exercise sciences in the UK. Each year, BASES runs a student conference, where undergraduate and postgraduate students come and present their research. This year, the BASES Student Conference is being hosted by Anglia Ruskin University (Cambridge Campus).
Anglia Ruskin University is aware of the impact of cost of living and so are offering 80 tickets at a discounted price to support students with attending this event. These tickets are offered at a £25 reduction on the original ticket price, on a first-come first-served basis

Enjoy a 50-minute Sports Massage or Therapy session from our Sports and Exercise Therapy students as a part of their training under the supervision of a qualified professional.
Sports Therapy Session
Assessment, diagnosis and treatment of musculoskeletal injuries by a student Sports Therapists at our teaching clinic. All students are supervised by a qualified professional who may or may not be present during the session.
Sports Massage Session
Whether for sport or relaxation, massages are useful for everyone and do not need to be injury-related. Problems can be caused by stress, high workloads, posture, or sport and exercise. Our qualified and student-led sports massage therapists use soft and deep tissue massage therapy to help boost performance, relax tense muscles, reduce stress and improve circulation. If you have an injury that needs assessing and treating, please book a Sports Therapy session instead so you can have the injury assessed.
We are excited to announce our first ever Relevance of Doctoral research in Architecture conference hosted by ArchiDOCT at ARU Cambridge and online from 3rd - 5th July 2023.
Architecture is primarily about values. Values are the driving forces of those who desire to build expertise on architectural thinking, creating, innovating. The same goes for research in Architecture.
This conference is intended for early career researchers, doctoral students, supervisors, and young academics, and is hosted by ArchiDOCT - our international journal on doctoral and early-career research, and ARU's Architecture and Planning team.
