This training programme is aimed at those who wish to progress from the basic principles of horse care achieved in BHS Stage One.

Course Description

Whether working with a Riding School horses or thoroughbreds, holders of this qualification can prove they have the essential skills to work as an assistant groom at any yard. 

 The course will cover Learning Outcomes 1 – 11 as listed in The BHS Equine Excellence Pathway log book.

 Separate one day programmes are available for your Coach Endorsements in Loading/Unloading Horses, Bathing a Horse and Lunging.  These practical elements will not be covered in this course however, tacking up is included.
