Course Description

This Experience Day at Writtle College is designed to give you an overview, with practical experience, of two of the many welding processes used today: Manual Metal Arc and Metal Inert Gas. You'll get an insight into their varied uses, which range from DIY, to art and commercial theatre. Topics covered will include:

• health and safety
• equipment recognition and function
• Manual Metal Arc (stick) 3mm plate
• Metal Inert Gas (MIG) 1mm to 3mm

Our instructor/student ratio is 1:8, and the course fee includes all materials.
