Course Description

Ground Crop Sprayer – Mounted or Trailed. Course code 021650.

This practical, one-day course is designed for operators who have at least six months' experience of driving a tractor and have completed the PA1 Foundation Module. Our instructor/student ratio is 1:4.

Topics covered will include:

• safe driving practice
• calibration
• post-spraying procedures.

The course requires an understanding of pesticide labels and regulations. This is in compliance with regulations and directives from the Health and Safety Executive (HSE). Calculations and interpreting information is an integral part of the training.

You'll also complete an NPTC assessment (date arranged separately). Your course fee includes equipment use, NPTC registration and assessment.

Free parking is available on campus in Writtle: we'll issue a permit to you and ask that it's clearly displayed in your vehicle. Tea and coffee-making facilities are available; please bring a packed lunch and any other refreshments.
