Course Description

Infants and children have differing anatomical structures and physiological differences compared to adults. Both need to be considered when caring for children. These differences need to be recognised when assessing development, growth and we need to correlate to the age of the child. It’s important to recognise that not all children will reach the same stages of development at the same time, and some will “skip” developmental milestone completely or do things earlier than expected.
